Had lunch on a weekday. Hostess seemed overwhelmed by sudden appearance of 3 couples for lunch. Had the BLT + Avocado on toasted sourdough. Perfect! My wife had the Bistro Salad with grilled chicken. Also excellent. Great beer selection. The service was so-so. Waitress didn't write down or repeat back the order and got wine order wrong.

We had heard great things about this place, tried it for lunch Service was great and our waiter pleasant but the food not so great. My husband had a burger and I had chicken salad sandwich Burger under cooked but edible, sandwich too much mayo, salty and chicken tasted like tacos

My husband and I were on Mackinac Island and looking for a place to eat on the water. It was later in the afternoon on a Saturday in August. We found Mary's Bistro which is near the ferry docks (beware of the horns being blown when the ferries leave). The inside is nice with lots of seating, but we were seated outside as we wanted. The outside had a more causal feel but nice nonetheless. I was expected the outside seating to go more into the lake, but it is pretty tightly tucked in. We order an appetizer of the "House Made Potato Chips" and a blue cheese fondue dipping sauce comes with. They were delicious! The chips were crispy and the sauce added a little kick to the chips. The couple next to us saw we were eating them and then they got them as well. Do not pass these up! When in Rome...I got the "Locally Caught Whitefish". The whitefish came with mashed potatoes and green beans. Very decent size whitefish portions! My husband got the pasta and he as well was happy. Our waiter was attentive and filled our drinks. After dinner we sat back and enjoyed the view!

Fabulous is the word that comes to mind. I had the Parmesan crusted whitefish and it was served with garlic mashed and "perfect" string green beans. Loved being able to have the treat of draft-style root beer

Bartender was very rude, beer selection was great! We ended up going into the adjacent restaurant instead of the bar and the service was significantly better.

My wife and I visited the Draught House at Mary's Bistro while vacationing on the island and loved it. So many beers, so little time! Well, actually we had a good amount of time. And drank a good amount of beer. But still! It really was a good experience. The service was great - both the bartender and the food runner were friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious. I had the lamb burger and my wife had the chicken pot pie. Both were prepared perfectly and we left full and happy. I highly recommend checking this place out and will definitely be back here next time we make it up to Mackinac.

A big letdown... Waiting to sit on the patio. Watching these delicious looking tacos all plated up going by. Really looking forward to getting those tacos. Kids were getting hungry and nobody was getting off the patio so the hostess said we could get immediately seated inside. So we get seated inside... But guess what? Sorry sir...the tacos are only available to guests seated on the patio. How stupid. So I give this place 2 stars on priniple... Because a real restaurant would not have had such a pointless limitation in the first place... Or at least they could have figured out a way to simply get us the food we could now see 10 feet away through a window that we very kindly informed them we were looking forward to eating. Hospitality 101 Fail.

Its an ok restaurant with ok food and fair prices. Kind of mediocre but it is better than much of the overpriced crappy restaurants you have to put up with on the island. i know that doesent sound like a raving endorsement but if they had connected on service a little better from the start and been more accomodating they could have redeemed themselves more. I certainly didn't experience the ultra accomodating Service Susie V raved about in her review Went there with my wife and Mom an we had the rotisserie chicken pot pie. which really is pot pie filling with a cut out piece of pastry dough put on top. Its tasty and its nice that they offer it as a smaller portion. Consider ordering the smaller portion as it is plenty as a meal. We found the restaurant to be unaccomodating of a pretty simple request. The place wasn't that busy and on their lunch menu posted out front they had a Lamb burger that looked good but we were there at dinner time (on a dead Sunday night) and they wouldn't make it for us. I mean how hard can it be to throw a burger on? All in all its a place with promise and is in the process of expanding its space. The highlight of our visit was our server Caleigh who had a fantastic attitude and I would ask for if I was to come back. Our experience started out poorly as we were waiting a good 10 minutes before a server came and asked us if we had been helped. then after getting our drinks the server was cut for the evening and we were switched to another ok server who was ok but no Caleigh. I might try it again on a future trip

Nice seating on the water but you can only order off deck menu which is pretty small. Chicken soup was very good but ordered a bowl and didn't seem like much food for $8. Definitely wasn't enough for lunch so wish is ordered something else with it. Last I was in the ladies room which and when exiting one of the other women flipped the light switch next to the door on her way out. It shut all the lights out and it was pitch black... I mean I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face dark. The restaurant should put a cover on the switch as there's three stalls and it's just force of habit to shut off the light.

I am not sure why there are so many low stars for this place. We came here with a party of nine and every one of us had a fantastic meal. I had the spitfire chicken and it was great. My only wish was that it had been a larger portion for the price. If you are looking for a great meal with a fantastic beer selection, stop at Mary's Bistro.

Bartender got hung up on a guest accusing bars on the island of drugging women. First I would have said nobody wants to drug your date second I have other customers. Started out great attentive than failed. I had ask another server for beer.

I found myself on mackinac island all the the way from portland oregon on a fabulous vacation. Molly bistro/draught house was the number one place. Best food on the island, best beer selection on the island, and best service on the island. I highly recommend this place! If I'm ever in Michigan again, I'll make sure to spend quality drinking time here! Then go for a bike ride :) Badass place!

Went here for our first dinner and ended up back again the next night. The steak (ribeye) was amazing, but if you don't like blue cheese, substitute for their mashed potatoes, which are phenomenal. I got the chicken cordon blu and it was AMAZING (comes with the mashed potatoes). Their sauces (on the steak, chicken and a Demi glaze) are great; salty, but I like that.

We arrived after 8PM for dinner and most of the dinner crowd had cleared out. We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view of the water on our last night on Mackinac. Since the dinner crowd had just left many of the outdoor tables still needed to be cleared (understandable). We selected a table near the back of the patio since the ones right by the water were taken or dirty. While we ordered drinks they cleared the tables closer to the water and we asked to move. There were only two of us so I asked if we could just pull one of the tables off from the group of three that way if another group came in they could still seat them. The servers were super weird about my request saying that is supposed to be a six top. I'm thinking OK we can take six seats or I can slide this table over and take the two we need and you'll have four more in the unlikely event another group comes in. Not sure what the fuss was as we were making it easier on them. Got the evening off to a weird start but fortunately out server was super friendly so it got better quickly. We started with the pretzel appetizer and then a cup of chicken soup (see pic) which was was very hearty and yummy. I ordered the locally caught white fish (see pic) while my husband ordered the chicken. Both were well-prepared and tasty. My husband's chicken was very juicy and tender and my fish tasted fresh and well-seasoned. One complaint I had was most entrees come with choice of soup or salad included. Those that don't the menu says its like $2 to add a salad to a meal (no mention of soup price) but when I added soup to my entree it was $5(?). It seems to me those prices should be the same soup is as cheap to make as a salad. All in all, we enjoyed this fresh, well-cooked, slightly upscale outdoor seating restaurant on Mackinac Island.

We got a cheeseburger, BLT-A, chicken wrap, and a brisket sandwich. Everyone like there meal. I have to say when you pay $12 for a sandwich I don't think you should pay $2.50 for fries. The fries were like shoestring fries and not worth paying for. GREAT selection on beers. Lots of local brews.

I wish I would have read reviews before we ate dinner on the island. It took ten minutes before our waitress even came over to our table when we were allowed to seat ourselves on the patio. Our food was mediocre and flavorless. I have had better fish and chips at Big Boys. They did not have a large selection of beer, which was very disappointing.

We sat at a table near the window and enjoyed the view of the water and boats. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered 2 pizzas. The cheese pizza was very good. Lots of sauce and cheese. The BBQ chicken pizza was also delicious. I had the chicken cordon bleu. It was very good. The chicken was slightly over cooked but it had a lot of flavor and he sauce was very good. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans which were also good. Great place to eat on the island. Restrooms were clean.

This is actually for the Draught House portion of Mary's - it was our favorite spot on the island and we couldn't recommend it more. They had an extensive beer list- including more than 40 Michigan beers. We did the tasting menu to try a variety. The bartenders were fun and knowledgeable and we caught Mary hanging at the bar on our second visit. Great music selection too. If you're a beer fan, the Draught House shouldn't be missed!

We sat outside on the patio. The weather was perfect, the view of the harbor was nice, but with a few flowers and cleaning up cobwebs would have improved the ambience quite a bit. My meal, blt & a (a for avocado) was great. Sweet potato fries were tasty. My husband's meal (cup of French onion soup and half chicken salad sandwich) was in his words "serviceable". Hostess and servers were good. Our food bill of $26 was a bit high, but then again this is totally a tourist town.

Wonderful to sit outside on their deck on Mackinac Island. Had the grilled chicken Caesar salad--very tasty. My husband had the flatbed pizza, also very good. Good service. Enjoyable time. :)

Gorgeous view of the lake shore with more luxurious versions of American comfort food and a variety of cocktails = a seemingly perfect starting point for dinner during a bachelorette party bar crawl. The menu boasts twists on classics - mac and cheese with lobster, chicken pot pie as a stew with a puffed pastry on top, tomato soup with Gorgonzola. However, our boisterous 12-person group may have been a bit much for our one server and cooking staff because a few orders seemed to have gotten mixed up. I originally asked for a cup of soup and the lobster and asparagus salad. After placing our orders, sipping on drinks and savoring the soup, the server came back to our table to inform me that my salad was no longer available. I ended up ordering the special of the day because none of the other salads sounded that exciting. The Kobe sirloin steak was cooked to perfection at a medium rare but the mashed potatoes underneath lacked creaminess in texture and butter/seasoning in flavor. Not to mention, the thin asparagus was a paltry four in amount. I would definitely come back here, though I'd like to try other entrees and go with a smaller group or with a date to see if the service or quality changes.

Menu looked promising, so we made a mental note to come back for dinner. We were seated promptly, then it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come over. This is always a sign of bad things to come and I'm an idiot for ignoring the warning sign but we stayed anyways. Wife ordered the goat cheese app, I ordered fish n chips. Food came out quick enough, but it was all pretty meh. I wanted another beer and had to flag our waitress down. She put in the request for it, then walked away. I watched the bartender pour it then it sat on the counter for 5 minutes. I had to ask someone to go stop our waitress from folding silverware and to get my drink. Ridiculous. This place, like everywhere on Mackinac Island, isn't cheap. I can't believe the owners let customer service like this exist. Guess they're really only out for your money, so this place is the definition of a tourist trap.

What a nice surprise to find a pleasant place to eat on the main drag of a tourist town next to one of the big ferry docks (Red Star Line). The food was very good, the service was excellent. I hear that the dish to try is the roasted chicken. I knock off one star for my lamb burger, as the bleu cheese was so thickly applied that it obliterated the taste of the meat, which, after you scraped off most of the topping, was really pretty good. There is something to be said for moderation in garnishes. Definitely worth a lunch or dinner on Mackinac Island. Sit on the patio with the fabulous harbor views if it's cool enough outside.

We were here for lunch twice while we stayed on Mackinac Island. Both times the food and service were excellent. The atmosphere on the back deck is great with a nice view overlooking the water. We also sat out front where we could observe all the goings-on down Main St. Both were nice! The turkey burger was possibly the best I have ever had. I don't know what their secret is but WOW! Definitely worth trying. The beer selection was good and the beer was cold. The prices were good considering this was Mackinac Island. Go and enjoy!

Don't go there for a group meal. I hosted a bridal lunch there in August 2012 and, although at the end it came together, I will never go back and could never recommend it to anyone else. I confirmed the reservation multiple times over the course of a couple of months telling them what the occasion was and that we needed a semi-private area for 20 people. The hostess suggested the deck by the lake. I thought that sounded good, but it wasn't. The deck isn't semi-private and the hostess failed to mention that there was a different, and much more limited, menu out on the deck. I arrived around 12:30 for our 1 pm lunch to begin decorating. One of the women inside made a big deal out of this by saying "You are decorating? I'm not sure about that." I politely told her it was just some minor table decorations and streamers. Out on the deck, the hostess grabbed a waitress with long brown hair and aviators on and told her we weere there to decorate. She was an absolute jerk about it and told me that no one informed her that we would be coming early and that there would be decorations. She told me that she'd just sat the area and that it wouldn't be ready for at least another 20 minutes. Ok, I've been a server before and the general rule of thumb is that you don't seat an area with a reservation 30 minutes before a large group. I came back at 12:50 and only 3 tables were set-up. People were eating at all of the others. As they slowly got up to leave (which was 30 minutes into our lunch), I kept moving the tables over myself to make my guests more comfortable. The server we got (blonde, unusal name starting with an L) was wonderful and saved the experience for us. She worked with us as best as she could and apologized for all of our inconveniences. She treated the bride wonderfully and tried the best should could to accomdate our other requests (turning music down, one guest who have a very strict diet). The server told me that no one had told them that we were a bridal party and that we would be there before to decorate. Again, we had to order off the deck menu and the food was mediocre at best. I had the pulled pork which tasted like it had been sitting for a long time. The hamburgers looked very unappealing. The chicken and cherry salad looked more like a glop of ingredients and mayonaise wasn't very good according to one guest. Bottom line: If you want good service, good food, and a great experience for a group, go somewhere else.

Smelled great when entering. I had the Michigan chicken sandwich and it was great! Great flavor! My husband had the chicken pot pie and the bread on top was hard, could not break through it. But the flavor was good. Overall I would recommend it. Great views and fast service.

This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. We were party of 9 with a reservation. We were slightly late for our reservation and apologized profusely to Mary, the owner. To say that she was rude would be an understatement. Her response was that since we had made her wait, she would make us wait. The restaurant was empty. However, to humor her we went in to the adjoining bar. After what she deemed an appropriate amount of time we were escorted to our table. The waitress was very pleasant and all seemed well until our orders arrived. all four steaks were cold and over cooked and one had mushrooms that were specifically not ordered. We requested that new steaks be prepared. Mary suddenly appeared in a rage and rudely stated that we were wrong and we would need to eat what was prepared. Obviously that didn't happen and after the others finished their dinners we left and went to another restaurant for a burger and more pleasant owners. PS, to be fair, those who had the whitefish were very pleased with their meals, the chicken pot pie however, rivaled a frozen Swanson pie.

Good bistro menu with seating options designed to take advantage of the best of Mackinaw Island's Main Street. We stopped by Mary's for dinner after a rainy day on Mackinaw Island. It is the closest restaurant to the Iroquois Hotel (other than the adjoining Carriage House) and we had noticed both its menu and the outdoor oven roasting chickens earlier in the day. The oven idea is genius for luring would-be patrons with the smell alone. Food We arrived just as they were switching over to dinner service, but all out food came promptly. We started with sweet potato fries. The fries themselves were excellent. They were clearly fresh-cut in-house and nice and crispy on the outside. The creamy chipotle dipping sauce with a little misplaced but overall a good starter. For mains we had the spitfire roasted chicken, the chicken penne pasta, and split the wild mushroom risotto. The chicken lived up to its billing as the house specialty. The half chicken is served with a simple pan sauce on top of a nice mash with a side of asparagus. The chicken was tender and moist and the skin flavorful. The skin was lacking the crispy character that makes a really killer roasted chicken, but the overall flavor was very nice. The chicken penne pasta was underwhelming - a very run of the mill cream/cheese sauce that drowned out the otherwise good flavor of the roasted chicken that went into it. The risotto had a good earthy mushroom flavor and had a perfect, just-barely-al dente bite to it. Like a lot of risottos, I think the creaminess came more from a finishing addition of cream and cheese rather than the rice itself, but this was still a good offering and really hit the spot on one of those classic northern Michigan 50 degree August days. Service Some minor service quibbles - wrong drinks and mixing up our dishes at the table, but the food came promptly. Location In addition to the chicken, Mary's really has its location/layout working to its advantage. In addition to a spacious interior you have the option of sitting either outside along the bustling pedestrian/horse/bike-only Main Street or on the restaurant's spacious patio overlooking the harbor as the ferries come and go.

Could be 4-star plus restaurant with better waiter and kitchen manager. All the food that my family of six ordered tasted great! The problems: 1. Temperature: only food served "hot" were my kids burger, fried chicken fingers and fries. I got tomato soup, mussels, pizza, and pasta all served cold! Poor kitchen management of placing orders. 2. Waiter: This young waiter showed up only 3 times, not because he wanted to make sure his customer is being taken care of. He showed up because I waived at him. The food being prepared at this bistro really tasted great. I hope they'd improve the staff they hire (or give training!). I really did not want to give this bozo waiter $20 tip that he did not at all deserved.

8/1/09 Dinner: Love Mary's. As frequent diners to this wonderful establishment, often multiple times over the course of a 2-3 night trip we put our name in for a table that overlooked the deck and the harbor and waited patiently at the bar while attempting to break local records of Word Dojo and other bar top strategy games. Once seated the fun began! We fired it up with the house made potato chips and blue cheese dip, awesome (4/5) - you can't go wrong and the chips are plentiful for 4 (although there were 2 of us). We also opted for the Brie and Guyere quesadilla with pear compote and spiced candied walnuts (the compote was basically sliced pears but the whole combination works wonderfully (4.25/5). We split the Penne Pasta with rotisserie chicken (the roti chicken here is fantastic, you can smell it walking down the street) - the cream sauce was a bit watery and it needed salt but the flavor is delicious (4/5). Great ambiance. Typically very good service. And keep an eye out for Mary who is often seen rubbing elbows with locals and tourists alike at the bar drinking wine and greeting guests (and friends). There's something about this place - my wife and I have seen workers leave and come back to hang out and draw a fair amount of locals but it never feels like a townie spot, everyone making the tourists feel welcome. A great place! I am surprised at a lot of the lower ratings but once you eat at the majority of the restaurants on the island you will come to find Mary's in the very top echelon. Go for lunch and come back for dinner!

This place is such a dump! It was full of creepy old men and I think our waitor was either high or drunk. We came here for the "chicken pot pie". It came out about 2 minutes after we ordered it, and it was just chicken stew with a bisquit on top. And to top it off, it was COLD and $15! What a rip off. This is not the place to eat: poor food and high prices.

We've eaten lunch here for the last two years and it has been great both times. Uncomplicated menu, good view (great view if you are able to sit outside), and a real bistro feel. Stay away from places like Sinclair's and Goodfellow's and go to Mary's Bistro.

    (4)
  • Tiffany A.

well....let me just say $21 for mac and cheese would be okay if it was outstanding - but unfortunately such is not the case. i found the food overpriced but maybe that is to be expected for a tourist location. the view was great just a little too costly for the type of food served

My husband and I had different experiences at Mary's Bistro. I ordered a "chicken pesto sandwich"--which turned out to be a pretty bland sandwich covered in pesto mayo. Blech! I abhor mayo, and--had I realized that "pesto" meant "mayonnaise with a few green flecks," I would have ordered something else. So, I would suggest asking your server to describe your entree--because the actual listing might be misleading. My husband got crabcake sliders with sweet potato fries and really liked both. He also said that the iced tea was better (less bitter) than most. The bistro itself is on the water and has a nice view. We were actually planning to eat on the patio--but it turns out that the patio has a much more limited menu than the restaurant, which seemed strange.

Not a good 1st impression, while told to wait outside for table, a waitress said to wait a minute. She never came back. Another server came & said to wait. Finally another one sat us @ a high top. We asked for a reg table & the first rude server snapped back & said it wasn't available for 3???? We were hungry so we stayed. We finally got a nice server who was friendly & quickly brought us drinks. Our food was fine. I had the BLT pizza with blue cheese instead of ranch. My sister had the pork brisket, which was more like a boneless pork cut. The atmosphere is nice near the ferry line. A nice choice to sit outside and nice menu.

If I can put negative star review I would! Manager was very rude and unbecoming. We decided to just pay for drinks we ordered for and leave than spend another minute in such an unwelcoming atmosphere. Will not recommend this place.

We both chose the wood grilled chicken Caesar. For dinner they grill a half romaine head and serve it intact. Looked weird when it came, but I actually liked it. My wife did not and after finally finding our server, returned it. They made her a traditional Caesar which was better for her. Nice outdoor seating viewing the dock, or main street.

If you are foody, and like to go to restaurants that have it all together, I'd avoid this place unless you have a few kids and just get some burgers. This place was a little pricey. The decor was blah, you could change the name to Cap'n Ron's and you would not have to change any of the decorations. It was like a family style restaurant with high prices. I had the Whitefish which was cooked well but way too salty. The wife had veggie ravioli and said it was okay. Had I had my two boys with me, I would have eaten here and just rated it as a very average family restaurant. We went the sans kiddies so having this be our first meal on the island was underwhelming.

This was the first time we stopped in here and I was fairly impressed. It's a great place for lunch (not sure I'd do dinner here) with an interesting menu. I had a thincrust pizza that was really great. The rest of the family's dinners were reported to be tasty as well. Small place with decent atmosphere and quick solid service. We'll go back for sure.

Great view of Lake Huron. I had the Cobb and I liked it, the wife... not so much. The server was attentive and when I found an unexpected object, a piece of foil or something in my salad, the server was quick to apologize and offered us a free dessert. Everything was just OK. If your up for an over priced so so meal and surprises in your salad than Mary's Bistro is for you!

Horrible service on a not busy fall Saturday night. Took 10 minutes to bring 2 bottles beers to our table. And ignored most of the time. Heard from others a typical experience. Had the gorgonzola/brie/pear quesadilla - ok, but not enough pear to balance out the cheese. Also had the shrimp fondue - very watery. Flavor ok, but nothing to write home about. Recommend skipping for another restaurant...

I am a fan! Delicious food and even though it's pricy, the portions are big. I loved my chicken salad sandwich, husband loved his buffalo chicken sandwich. Cheese sticks were decent, service was great. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that the menu was limited outside on the deck. Other than that, this was a great find.

I stopped in for a light lunch upon arriving at the island. I had a bowl of the chicken soup an a plate of their house potato chips and a soft drink. The service was prompt and the soup tasted good, but was not especially hearty. It was light on the meat and vegetables. The homemade potato chips were not very special either. They came with a ranch-like dip which may have had a hint of blue cheese which I didn't really like. The meal was $22.00 plus tip. The chips were not worth $9.00 not was the soup. It is a tourist trap.

Incredible Michigan beer selection with a knowledgable waitress. Great local fish--try the Whitefish. Local beer and local fish is a slam dunk. The fish was actually caught by a relative of my waitress. The BBQ chicken pizza had a great crust, and the kids menus are reasonable and good.

We had a great lunch on the deck today. This was our first visit. Greg F. waited on us and he was very friendly and helpful! We tried a few small plates - Italian Spring Rolls, the crab cake, small chicken tenders and small chicken pot pie! The small plates were great to share and try out a few items!

This was our second choice for dinner on our final evening on the island after being turned down by the Italian Chophouse. My girlfriend is an avid cheese lover, and she was very happy with the cheese plate selection as her appetizer. I normally do not order steak when i dine, but i did here and was very pleased! Girlfriend was also very happy with her entree as she had the rotisserie chicken. Would have loved to try some beers out, but with a 7+ hour drive back home the next day i decided to play it safe.

Honestly, I'm conflicted on this place. Yes, the beer menu is amazing. SO many local beers to choose from; even some ciders. Although, I did feel like they were out of a lot on their menu which was disappointing. So, this place is set up like a sports bar. Plenty of TVs, with Detroit sports always on audio. Love it - such a nice treat from where we are in Chicago. However. The televisions above the bar are neck-breakingly high. OUCH. And, the lights above the bar are usually at full blast which makes the whole experience annoying. Boo on not knowing how to set up a sports bar appropriately... or, is there no identity? Either way, ugh. The food is what brings the star eating back up for me. Fast, yummy, not yucky bar food that you might find everywhere else. Plus, the servers are very nice and always willing to pour a taste. I would probably come back here, just not to watch a game.

Not at all impressed with the food and have had way better. Food was somewhat slow to get to the table, which makes for grouchy customers! The servers were delightful and tried really hard to make our visit pleasant! The view is nice and worth checking out. Too many inebriated and loud people for me and the kiddies though. Just not up to our standards and we won't return.

Wonderful views and food! Nice waitstaff, kind of trendy but with enough classy that it feels authentic. I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was really wonderful. Just make sure you sit on the patio over the water!

Food was very good. Service speed is a bit slow. Half hour to get a white fish sandwich felt like too long. The Margarita pizza was amazing. It has a strong tomato flavor. Just be aware of this. Starline ferries people. You can walk right into the restraunt from the dock. No need to walk around.

Food was okay. A little expensive, however it is on the Island. Our waitress was very nice. The one thing that did not make this a 5 star rating is that we sat in the deck to overlook the water. We were not informed there was a limited menu for dinning outside, had we known we would have waited inside for a tabel. When we return to the island we plan to try out the indoor dinning as well!

We always get the chicken pot pie when we are on the island. Once again it didn't disappoint. Flaky phillo biscuit on slow cooked chunks of white meat chicken and veggies... So good! You must get this! My hubs and I ordered the full sized plate and split it. Perfect! The service was ok... We were there later in the evening and say at the bar. The owners seemed to be there like always chatting it up with the regulars at the bar.

Fantastic food and ultra accommodating!!! I requested a vegan gluten free dish and Chef Roy worked his magic. I received a coconut-milk based risotto with a lemon sauce topped with grilled asparagus, green beans, shredded carrots garnished with fresh shredded basil. Super delicious. A++ My boyfriend had the toffee brownie with ice cream and found it delightful. Christin, our waitress, was super friendly. Great dining experience and highly recommended. Point deduction for decor.

Located in the shops on the dock by where the hydro-ferry (Star lines) drops you off this was one of the first places we saw and knew we had to stop in here. If you're waiting for a ferry you can duck in here since they have a live camera feed to the dock to see if the ferry is coming in. We sat at the bar where they have around 40 beers on tap! We both ended up getting flights and the bartender recommended the margarita pizza. The pizza was good yet the main showcase was the beer. The service was mediocure at best with us having to flag them down to place a food or drink order. It was a bit overpriced but what can you expect when you're on Mackinaw Island. I would recommend this as the best beer bar that we tried on the island (and we went to lots of bars :) )
